The paperweight in reception.
(2017) Legacy Effects is an FX shop with a wide range of capabilities and while my work there has been mostly digital, there is a complete workplace full of artists and technicians that make real world things. Two departments, mold and paint, often use large booths that draw the bad air through special filters and those booths are running all day, nearly every day. Because the air is being sucked into the booths at such a high rate, when the front reception door opens, there is a sudden wind tunnel created that would flutter and flip the pages on magazines on the table in the reception foyer. it. The long story is basically the reason we needed a paperweight to hold down the magazines and so I came up with the idea for a custom design of the film cans with the Legacy logo on top.
