Léon: The Professional
Leon the Professional is another of my all-time favorite films. So much so that back in 2013 I spent nearly 9 months creating a Leon costume for Halloween and if you know me personally, you know how seriously I take my Halloween costumes! Even though that was many years ago now, all the research I did to make that costume left me VERY prepared to finally get to this caricature of the title character and Mathilda. It took me about six weeks from beginning to completion of these figures and I did not hold back on the tiny details even though much is missed in this presentation. I chose to go somewhere between realistic and cartoony without going too far in either direction. The sculpts were entirely done in ZBrush with the aid of Photoshop for the many texture, bump and displacement maps I needed to render them in Keyshot. Then back to Photoshop to composite, mimic the film's sepia tone and add the cartoonish backgrounds, then finally the labeling. This was a LOT of fun for me and I hope you all get as much of a kick out of these I did creating them.
