Stan & Matt Winston

This photo of Stan Winston and son Matt was originally published in Harper's Bazaar magazine in 2001. Stan gave me his input on what he had in mind, which was basically a shot of him and Matt chatting - kinda like we are looking in on a private moment. I came up with the idea of having the two of them on a movie set, in directors chairs. the problem was that we had to shoot this in a small photo studio at work so I knew I would have to do a ton of Photoshop fixing. Assisted by photographer Chuck Zlotnick, we set up the lighting to fit the image in my mind and the rest was up to me. The final Photoshop file consisted of 18 layers of all sorts of digital manipulation.
