A “Bronze” 3D digital sculpture created in 2018 as a Lifetime Achievement Award to Thomas Sorovetz by AMUG (Additive Manufacturing Users Group) for 25 years of service to 3D printing technologies.
The first images show my final 3D sculpt starting in grayscale and then is followed by my color treatment. The video turntable blends the two. Next is a shot of the 3D printed award before it was painted and then are photos of the real world finished award. After that is Paul Bates, AMUG president, presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Thomas Sorovetz. Also pictured: Suzanne Sorovetz, Thomas’ wife and lastly, Thomas holding his award.
The final piece was printed in SLA by Cideas and then Nickel plated with a patina by RePliForm, Inc.
