All the steg back plates lined up for adding details. I kept them together to match styles and would take each off separately for ease of access while sculpting.

Many light layers of paint were required to get the natural look of it's skin.

We sent 1 painted miniature to Industrial Light & Magic so they could reference them and match for their computer generated dinosaurs. One went to production the the last was for keeping in the studio.

The final stegosaurus sculpt maquette was sent to a company to be scaled up to full scale and milled in sculptable foam. Then we had to add details back into the soft form of the foam.
